Housekeeping at PGL is active, physical work that’s never boring — you’ll help ensure thousands of young guests enjoy a great first impression and a comfortable stay, while being part of a supportive team in beautiful outdoor surroundings.
At some of our smaller centres, this role may also include supporting the on-site shop and carrying out stock checks, giving your days more variety.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare guest rooms for arrival, including changing bed linen, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and replenishing welcome trays
- Maintain the daily cleanliness of toilets, showers, changing areas and communal spaces
- Keep customer-facing and shared areas clean, tidy and presentable every day
- Ensure guest linen is stocked and clean
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly (COSHH and Manual Handling training provided)
- Proactively identify and report any maintenance or cleaning issues to the Housekeeping Team Leader or Facilities team
- Carry out stocktakes of cleaning materials and report shortages promptly
- At smaller centres: support the gift and tuck shop by serving guests and helping with stock takes
